aboutBorn and bred in the wild and scenic country side of the New England in rural NSW, I've been writing and telling stories for as long as I can remember. Before I could put pen to paper sufficiently enough to satisfy my imagination, I was telling stories to my younger sister every night to help her get to sleep and soothe her when she had a nightmare (at 3am in the morning mind you and I have Independence Day to thank for that). It wasn't long before I put together my first ‘novel’ when I was nine. It was composed of a colourful front cover, a badly misspelled story with vibrantly bad illustrations and even a back synopsis! Holding that finished creation in my hands was when my love affair of anything book related truly started, and perhaps even then I knew I had it in me to self-publish! I still have The Lost puppy and look at it from time to time to remind me how I felt as an ambitious little nine year old who believed that nothing would ever stop her from presenting her stories to the world.
I currently live in the New England with my cavalier Poppy and my new kitten Moet. I love nothing more than a cuppa and a bit of space to sit down and write (until 2am some nights!) I still work as a Quality Officer for a disability services group, though I discovered Kindle Direct Publishing in 2015, With some guidance from my on-line community of writing friends, I am now in he process of publishing my stories to Amazon KDP. I absolutely love answering and responding to any questions you may have, so hit me up on millieschmidt [at] hotmail.com |
